Sometimes... All you can say is, The day is done and I tried my best. Sues second spinal test confirmed the original diagnosis, leptomeningeal carcinomatosis. This means that Sues breast cancer has spread to the covering of her brain and is flowing through her cerebral spinal fluid. It is a devastating development. The prognosis is a very short time. But I am hesitant to give numbers, as Sue has bucked the odds with all her strength for the past 16 years already. Im sure shed work to prove me wrong. It means that Sue will be starting hospice care at home. She is still in the hospital, but we will be returning home soon.
