This is amazing! To all of my so-called friends on here that are, in one form or another, badmouthing this challenge-let me give you a little information! The real way this challenge is supposed to be done is by not only dumping the ice water but also donating $10 to the ALS Association or donating $100 by not doing the challenge! The money raised goes for research to continue efforts to find what will cure this horrible condition! You have no idea what it is like to see someone overtaken by ALS. My wonderful Uncle Larry was a man of integrity and a very successful businessman, who climbed the ladder by his own hard work! This horrible condition took away all of his independence, a little bit more everyday! It was utterly heartbreaking, an independent man who always shook the hand of each of my boys greeting them and treating them like men, lost more and more of his own daily living functioning everyday! We all have things we are passionate about, and we do not all agree on our passions, but what is the point in ridiculing others for doing something to support their passion? As my son, Ethan, tells me often People are just mean mom - I now fully agree with more than ever!
