~ This is an INCREDIBLE True Story of a Japanese diplomat who risked his life to save 6,000 Jews during the holocaust. If you haven’t heard or seen this it’s a Must! I saw this about six years ago and I was so glad to find it to share. This u-tube version is the short version. However there is a series describing in detail all the events that I will post in the comment section that is SO Wonderful! Chiune Sugihara was a Japanese diplomat in Lithuania. This man saved 6000 Jews. When the Nazis began rounding up Jews, Sugihara risked his life (and family) to start issuing unlawful travel visas to Jews. He hand-wrote them 18 hrs a day. The day his consulate closed and he had to evacuate, witnesses claim he was STILL writing visas and throwing from the train as he pulled away. He saved 6000 lives. The world didn’t know what he’d done until Israel honored him in 1985, the year before he died. There was also a Movie made in his honor called ‘Visas and Virtue’. ~ https://youtube/watch?v=h0lizzqOxuI&list=PL2E3087272255EBBF
