This is an excellent article that points out how inappropriate most of the testing under Common Core is. I especially appreciate her pointing out how developmentally inappropriate this approach is. No one actually considered cognitive development. It also doesnt respect the one child in six who experience neurodevelopmental disorders who need to be taught, at a much slower level, all of the higher thinking skills that are being assessed on these tests.We need to rethink how we are teaching all children with respect to where they are developmentally, not where we want them to be politically.
