This is an honest question, both for people who do this and for those who dont but might have something to say on the matter: Why do some Facebookians :) Post things like: Its time for a FB friend clean up. Better hope you make the cut, etc. I understand the need to prune the list sometimes when its so easy to click and connect, but cant you just do it silently, quietly, or in the case of a good friend, through a PM? I mean what is the statement meant to accomplish. Is it a warning, letting your friends know that if they dont act as you feel they should they will be voted off the island? In which case (except in instances of racism, trolling, and other obviously offensive behaviors), this is not loving someone in friendship for who they are. All in all, if you dont want to see their crap anymore or put up with it, its your page, I just dont get the pre- friend cleanup announcements. Should they change who they are for the privilege of staying on your page (again not counting immature b.s.), if so is this even friendship to begin with?
