This is an interesting article about GMOs, but not about the health and safety consequences or technology. It examines the roles that GMOs have played as a significant component of an integrated environmental and economic system. The Law of Unintended Consequences seems to run rampant throughout the history of the use of GMOs. In part that has occurred due to an unquestioning infatuation with the use of technology as the universal solution to all problems, whether the problems are related to technology or not. Then, of course, profit motive also affects both the use and the outcomes.
