This is an interesting question about babywearing if anybody can - TopicsExpress

This is an interesting question about babywearing if anybody can share ideas and suggestions please... I am really struggling and I would be really grateful for some advice. I am a first time mum of a 3 months old. I stumbled on attachment parenting by accident after the birth of my daughter, just by doing things that felt right and natural. I started as a traditional parent with a Moses basket beside the bed, an expensive push chair but I was very determined to breastfeed. I had a difficult birth that ended up as a ventuse delivery. The first two weeks were difficult as my baby wouldnt feed because her head was so sore and I pumped like mad! She hated being put down and I started co-sleeping. I held her all times of the day and the cranio-oesteopath suggested baby wearing. She also didnt like the sling because her head was tucked in (not covered) and I thought it would improve with time. So I kept holding her. Three months has passed and she still doesnt like being worn. We have tried a few that we bought and some of friends (we have a woven wrap, a infatino sync and a caboo, we have tried a stretchy wrap and a mei tai. We have tried front cross carry, front wrap cross carry and wearing her on the hip now she holds her head). Its very hard to do things when my arms are busy 24/7. She is a healthy big girl (wearing 6 months clothes!) and sometimes my arms go numb of carrying her with no support. Is there anything I can do to be able to baby-wear? Any advice is much welcome! Thank you!
