This is an official letter to Nikon stating my unfortunate experience: Im a Nikon user (photographer) from Latvia. My current camera is Nikon D600 which unfortunately has failed me. I sent it to the service center (Arwest in Tartu) for the third time. Problems with my Nikon D600: 1) faulty battery - the battery got replaced; 2) the well known dust problem - camera was cleaned & checked; 3) during a photo shoot camera freezed, an error message appeared on LCD. I tried switching on/off the camera and removing the battery but it didnt return to normal. After removing the lens I saw that mirror has stopped halfway. I sent the camera to the service. They didnt see any problem and told me it was fine; 4) several times when starting video the recording stops and camera shows error message Recording interrupted. Before D600 I was using Nikon D700 which also went to the repairs three times. Before that I was a Canon shooter and never experienced any problems. As Im shooting stills and video these problems harm my business. Im not able to work while the camera is being repaired several times and Im loosing money. I dont trust Nikon D600 as a tool for work anymore so Im kindly asking Nikon to replace this camera with Nikon D610. I dont want it just because I wanted a new camera. I want equipment to which I can rely on.
