This is apparently a assembly member raising up the concern of Cyclone Nilofer to the Assembly Speaker in Pakistan (Sindh). I have two major issues with this: 1. The way the speaker reacts to her concern is not only discriminatory towards women, it reminds me a lot of the reactions you see from some republicans when asked about climate control and global warming. Neglecting the facts and science behind the concern. Shameful 2. We still have muslims who ACTUALLY believe a dead person (doesnt matter how noble they were) can protect them from a calamity (Abdullah Shah Ghazi in this case). It is clear shirk to ask for protection or expect something from the dead. We should only be asking Allah (swt) for help and protection. Jaahiliyat is still very much alive today in the muslim world. May Allah guide us all and protect us from minor and major Shirk.
