This is awesome, read this! For us lifers I think whatever you do, whether you stay in a band or become a comedian, become a cop or a criminal, a CEO or a custodian you take punk rock, the ethics, and the feeling you got during those first couple adolescent shows in a basement or marginally legal club with you into your life and profession. For me, my first couple shows were at the Mantis. Thank you Joe Gilll for putting me in the know. Also there were some DIY shows at Cuyahoga Falls Lyons park put together by Inch High Private Eye (I think, those guys changed their name all the time) and/or their friends. Thanks Danny Tommy Jenkins and Christopher Hatfield. Not to mention how awesome my Dad was to take me and Tommy up to Cleveland to go see Rancid on the Life Wont Wait tour.
