This is bad news for those who say that Modi is a hostage in the hands of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or RSS as it is well known. Following a stern message from Modi to RSS leadership that he be allowed to do his job without pinpricks like the Ghar Wapasi programme, the man behind the re-conversion programme has been sent on a long leave. Rajeshwar Singh,convenor of the Dharm Jagran Samanway Samiti which was behind the Ghar Wapasi episode and man in charge of the RSSs activities in western UP and Uttarakhand has been asked to stay away. Singh had blamed ill health for his departure following the controversy and said he will undergo treatment until the organisation decides his next role in June. And that will quite sometime away.
