This is beautiful and heartbreaking. I had the pleasure of meeting this fine actor in Nashville at the old Jonathans Village Cafe location when I worked there as a hostess. He came in with a blind gentleman. He looked so familiar I thought Id met him somewhere, at church or something, maybe. I seated them and went to get their drink order. When it dawned on me as I returned, like a total spazz, I blurted, Oh, I know who you are! He grinned from ear to ear and chuckling said, Ya do??? He got out of the booth and stood up, held his hand out and said, Hi, Im John. Nice to meet you. I was very embarrassed but he didnt bat an eye. Whenever I walked past for the remainder of the time he was there he was sure to make eye contact and smile warmly. I found out later that he didnt actually know the blind gentleman, just helped him inside and treated him to lunch that day. I am moved that on this day he kept his commitment and did his job. I am not entirely sure I could. I am of the opinion that this man is one of Hollywoods redeeming qualities. An absolute pro and good people to boot. Blessings to him and his family. ♥
