This is beautiful and powerful!!! Love never fails! I have personally experienced this type of reaction as well! years ago, i served in home health and we had a woman with Alzheimers and she had what we call a blank affect, this meant she basically would just stare off into to space and really nothing SEEMED to affect her. we would visit her daily to make sure she was cared for physically as well as emotionally. during one of my visits around Christmas time I unconsciously began to sing a Christmas Carol, as i was serving her. when i came to a certain portion of the song, she began to sing loudly with me. At that moment she said, you can sing anytime you want. I laughed with joy every time I would think of this. Then something happened with her. every time I would visit her, she would ask, are you the nurse that sings? please sing anytime. we began to sing songs together regularly, and she began to pull out old hymns and tapes that she used to listen to. and we would listen to them together and sing. she actually became more alert and sharper! the Power of Jesus Love, and Joy but also the Power of Music and Praise!
