Furthermore if you even have a rooted device you can actually restrict the granted permissions for any app. Camera and video permissions allow the app to use camera and mic AT YOUR REQUEST to send picture, audio, and video messages. At any time means that no matter what app is running in the background the hardware gives messenger the priority UPON YOUR REQUEST. Location is used only if you allow your location to be sent with your messages. Mms/sms and phone state permissions allow the app to work like any other third party app like GoSms and send mms and sms messages Nice try fear mongering though.
