Theres been talk of putting in a multi-use path on the east side of the street where theres currently a service road. But imagine people turning east and not think to look for a cyclist. And the cyclists would be coming from both directions, not just traveling the same direction as the motor vehicle. I think its a set-up for disaster. I should add that the cyclist passed on the right, so he might have been hidden from view by the cyclist that captured this on film. So its not like theres not joint culpability. But Id rather set up a bikeway that even idiots could safely navigate.
