This is for my grandfather who fought in WW1, was gassed and shell shocked and died in an asylum in 1948, for my uncle buried in Belgium after D Day as Canada moved to liberate the low countries, and my father who joined the Royal Canadian Navy at 17 in 1941 and spent 4 years convoy duty - and all my family at home who had to run a farm without men or went to cities for war work. Im intensely proud of every one of them. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten.
