First I will start off with IMPORTANT INFO: ORIENTATION HAS BEEN MOVED TO OCTOBER 8Th This date is FIRM. Location: Everyone will be meeting initially at the TV lounge in the Student Center From the Hero Burger, follow the hallway downwards, past the Dentist and the washrooms to the end of the hall way. Here you will find the TV lounge! Time: Setup is 5:30 Start is 6:10 (Some people will be finishing class at 6 but it is ok if you all come at 6pm) Itinerary: There will be general ice breakers in groups gaming board games Food -- Pizza and Samosas with snacks will be bought for this event, if any of you have any dietary restrictions other than vegetarian needs (This is already taken care of) please let us know. Karaoke** (This will b explained below) Karaoke Contest: Chose BGM from a game EG: https://youtube/watch?v=3suGfhnT2Sg becomes this -- https://youtube/watch?v=t8NsnLfIAcs Each persons allotted time is up to 1 minute and 30 seconds. This does not prevent you from just using a Chorus of a BGM or a certain segment of a BGM. (Sorry Id love to hear you all sing to 22 minutes of Dancing Mad from Final fantasy 6 but aint nobody got time for that) This can be ANY song from a game from any of these platforms: (Console, hand held and PC/Desktop) IMPORTANT (I love and hate capslock, believe me) DO NOT USE ANY PROFANITY, OR NON-INCLUSIVE LANGUAGE IN YOUR LYRICS (Non-inclusive language are words that target or marginalize groups of people such as LGBTQ, Handicapped and racial people, it does not matter whether you are representative of this group or not -- this is an encompassing rule, please follow it, thank you.) All skill levels are welcomed, and I would like to say fear not, for if 2 Mello can put Jay Z lyrics into the BGM from Chrono Trigger Magical Kingdom (Which is pretty much not creative at all, albeit amusing) then you can give it a shot too. I would like at the very least a minimum of 8 people for this I will create a thread on the event page on facebook for people intersted in this. There will be a pretty awesome prize for the winner =) ON TO THE NEXT PART! Student Center Gaming Times: With Smash Brothers 3DS coming out soon on the Horizon all Hand held gamers are welcome to come upstairs and chill in the student center however most of you want a nice day to come down on so these 2 days should be best for everyone: Wednesdays from Noon till whenever Fridays from Noon till whenever Fridays are being reserved for Fighting Fridays (All types of fighting games will be out on fridays) Wednesdays will be Free for All play Various consoles will be brought on wednesdays for fun and retro gaming included (there will even be a day Ill bring my super nintendo at some point!) People are welcome to bring their own console on wednesdays after noon but please remember you are responsible for your own stuff and try to post if you will bring your own console in the facebook group so 5 different people do not show up with a console and then things just get awkward.
