This is from 2009, but still helpful...Harry Wu founded and runs the Laogai Museum and research foundation where he has set up important and eye-opening displays and a very thorough data base detailing the concentration camps started under Mao and expanded and made more profitable since. Around 50 MILLION human beings have been imprisoned in these horrible places since they were created. There is much to know about this awful gulag system which reaches almost every area of China. Harry was a prisoner in the camps for 19 long years. The story of his experiences are told in memoirs, and other books written by Mr. Wu, and serve to present an opportunity to the people of the world to help end the cruel torture and killing camps holding so many prisoner today. Harry humbly invites everyone to visit the website for the museum to learn more about the camps, the Chinese govts acts in China, and.how we can all help free the prisoners and end this insanity.
