RILEY: Now listen, Junior. The guy you got to watch out for is this fullback Anderson, see. PEG: Oh, Riley, stop talking and finish your dinner. RILEY: Yeah, yeah. Just a second. BABS: Daddys right. Andersons terrific at making passes. (took audience a couple of seconds to get that one) JUNIOR: Dont worry. Im pretty good at intercepting them. RILEY: Now Junior, heres another tip. JUNIOR: Now dont worry, pop, we have a coach. RILEY: Oh. So, youd rather listen to the coach than your own father. PEG: Why shouldnt he? Since when are you an authority on football? RILEY: Peg, you seem to forget, I played quarterback 3 years for good ol M.I.T. BABS: M.I.T.??? Why daddy, you never went to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. RILEY: Im talking about the Manhattan Independent Truck drivers. (total audience laughter) We were tops in the industrial league. We ran over everybody. BABS: Oh, daddy.
