This is from last week during therapy. His PT brought over this compression vest to see if we could see a difference. These vests provide steady pressure for kids with sensory issues, which Triston shows many signs of having. He didnt wear it too long because he was getting tired. (It was the 2nd hour of therapy and almost nap time) So I cant say for sure I saw a difference other than during this video. It did give him enough support that he felt enough confidence to take some steps without holding someones hands. Of course, hes still far from walking on his own...as the therapist in back is giving a lot of support...but this is big! Usually if you try to take even 1 hand away he gets scared to take steps and sits down. This video is surreal to watch. Although I know hes being assisted, its honestly weird to see him taking steps without him holding onto something.
