This is going to be a ridiculously long post, but feel free to skip it if you dont play Warlock. Okay our group ended up disbanding at the Crota fight. We will be finishing him off later in the week. I had a request to post some Warlock tips here for the hard raid in terms of builds etc. Apologies for the formatting. Facebook does not make it easy to make a well formatted post. First off, let me apologize to anyone who got left out today. I wish we could all participate at all times but some sacrifices had to be made to get the group going. If you ever feel like you are consistently being left out, just let me know via private message. Okay, on to the tips. Minor ***SPOILERS*** will follow, so stop here if you want a blind run. Feel free to disagree or add input to my tips. ABYSS Voidwalker + Obsidian mind works wonders here, and Bad Juju would also be good but not necessary. You can have constant nova bombs if done right and this helps immensely at keeping the pressure off. Each kill with the nova bomb will immediately give you back 10% of your super. 10 kills will immediately give your super back and is very possible in this section. For my nova bomb, I run with Vortex and Annihilate. The Vortex helps keep any thralls that survived at bay. For a grenade, go with vortex. Vortex grenades are also great at keeping thralls at bay. For extra effectiveness, throw your vortex grenade at the lamps for people to stand in and drop their debuff stacks in safety (Thanks Trollenhammer! Awesome tip.). If there are several Warlocks in the group, have any that dont have a max Obsidian Mind spec Sunsinger for the 2x solar grenades and self revive. Use flame shield for more survivability. Claws of Ahamkara wouldnt be a bad exotic option for the extra overshield. I prefer Armor>Agility>Recovery for this section. BRIDGE Go Sunsinger here. Run the self revive with double fusion grenades and flame shield. Fusion grenades are good for doing damage to the beefy targets which will mainly be the Swordbearer. It is good to send the Sunsingers over the bridge in the first group of 3 in case something goes wrong as it gets nuts this time around for the away team. Yellow health boomers... enough said. Always send a Titan as the very first, because his flashbangs will be almost necessary for taking down the OP Gatekeepers of the hard raid. I could go into a lot more depth about the bridge but am trying to keep this guide focused on the Warlock class and which build to roll with. I prefer Armor>Recovery>Agility here. SHRIEKER HALLWAY This part is pretty simple and easy so will only cover briefly. Voidwalker build with the shatter nova bomb, axion bolt, and bloom just wrecks here. Hunters should be your primary runners for this part but any class can do it. If not a runner, just decimate everything for your runners. You will keep them alive. Dont use up all your abilities right away during the first wave. Open with an axion bolt. Nova bomb the second half. While not doing those things, just rocket the Shriekers. K, game over, lets move on. DEATHSINGER Sunsinger here. Roll with self revive, solar/fusion grenades, and flame shield (always run flame shield :P). Only one person needs to spec solar grenades and the reason for this is to throw them at the ceiling below the wizards before initiating the fight. This will pull them out to make it easier to take them out later. Otherwise go with fusion for the dps. After that, immediately head outside and ignore all of the enemies completely. Just dodge and get up and into the boomer towers. Split into two groups of three, one group in each tower. From here take out each wizard. Help the other group if you get done first. Now send each group into their respective side to shoot rockets at the shriekers and then everyone run out. Have the entire group team up on the left side (Left from perspective of boomer towers). Clear adds here and then have everyone rush in when the liturgy starts and just unload hell on the Deathsinger. A defender Titan can pop a WoL bubble at the entrance for everyone to run through on the way in. Once killed get out and back to the towers to mop up the legion of knights. This will probably take awhile so just play it safe. I prefer Armor>Recovery>Agility here. CROTA I dont know enough about this fight yet to be sure of everything but I do have some great tips from our limited time here. We went Voidwalker here, but after thinking about it, I think Sunsinger is actually the better option. Just self revive and kill those oversouls. Solar grenades may be useful for keeping a nasty gatekeeper/thralls away from a teammate (yes gatekeeper). Only problem with Sunsinger here is you are sacrificing your ability to just decimate the hallways and youre not quite as effective at taking down the Swordbearer. This one may be a bit more personal preference. Take all of the above with a grain of salt. If Voidwalker here, roll with vortex or shatter (I like shatter), axion bolt, bloom, life steal, annihilate. This will just decimate things. There is no chalice here as far as we know. I used Red Death and found it to be absolutely amazing here. It is actually a powerful pulse rifle and took down acolytes and thralls with great ease and even did decent on the knights. Each kill will give you all of your health back. Just amazing. Hunger of Crota will be useful since Red Death = No Gjallarhorn. Hunger does just fine though. If you dont have Red Death, consider armor pieces that have the ability where picking up orbs gives you health or using a Suros Regime. I prefer Armor>Agility here (Recovery is useless for this part) I think that is pretty much it but I know more could be added so please do if you think of anything. Also, let me know about any disagreements or alternatives you may have. I think this is overall very sound advice though.
