This is happening all over the world -- not just in Australia -- due in large part to health concerns -- but of course it is also very important for the environment, and ethically speaking, it is the right way to go (to not harm our fellow Earthlings -- and most people know that but prefer to turn a blind eye to that inconvenient truth). So this is encouraging. I think the rise of veganism will continue, due in large part to water shortages causing the cost of meat and milk and eggs to go up. Plant-based meat and milk will replaced animal-based meat and milk. By 2050, most of the world will have to be veg*n of some kind -- just out of necessity, not even choice. Vegan outreach at this time will reach a lot of receptive ears. The meat and milk and egg industries will collapse eventually, sometime this century. It will happen. They are unsustainable, environmentally and economically -- not to mention the fact that they are incorrigibly evil and detestable.
