The FACT is that the League of Nations, and subsequently the UN, created a legal framework for Jewish "Settlement" throughout the area of the British Mandate for Palestine, including ALL of the West Bank. There has been NO legal action that overturns that legal framework. The term "occupied Palestinian territory" is a complete fabrication and misnomer. That territory is not, and has never been, "Palestinian". The fact that Israel was and is willing to negotiate away parts of what was legally granted to a Jewish state is simply Israel being pragmatic in the face of world opinion.
