This is how you turn a random semi-customer, into a lifelong and loyal customer. I acquired a knife while I was in Afghanistan, and that particular knife has stuck with me ever since, not ever leaving my side. One day, while I was cleaning it, I managed to take it apart beyond my own level of restorative expertise. Upon speaking with Gerber (the knives department), I was informed that the knife was covered with a lifetime warranty, even for a mistake such as this. I simply filled out a warranty form (it took only seconds), printed it, and then mailed them my knife (which was in many pieces). A few short weeks later, I have this spiffy new thing in the mail (they had previously informed me that if it was not fixable, they would simply replace it). Now- Ive got a brand spankin-new blade at my side! Whoo!
