This is humor about a serious subject about our founding fathers. Yes, they were moneyed gentry, and America was an experiment based on the teaching of John Locke, so they were also mostly godless people as this skit emphasizes. But there was integrity among them that we take no pains with today. Who deserves to run the country? The best, most intelligent people who are independent of corporations and law enforcement labor unions are worth electing. We need to focus on the state and local levels and take out the bad ones early. Are we organized well enough to be able to elect, recall, easily pass initiatives the method by which we change laws? Nope.
