This is interesting. Tesla just open sourced all their patents. Bold move. Either out of true nobility for the good of all... or this is a move to cover up a possible failing business. Im not sure. But I dont see a lot of Teslas out there on the road. In fact, Ive never seen one. I have seen 2 different Chevy Volts. 2. So how Tesla is doing - Im not sure. At first I was completely against the idea of an all electric car. Now Im only mostly against the idea. I can see them being viable in some places for some people. I dont think its for me though. Ever. Until they make a for real Mr. Fusion system that works on beer and banana peels... (Like what was thrown in, in the movie Back to the Future) Still. I do hope these patents will help move things forward with Zero Emission Vehicles. Not because Im a hippy. But because I plan on running High Octane Unleaded until I die.
