This is just wrong. If this flag is offensive to you, chances are you dont know what it stands for. This flag does not stand for white power racism or anything like that. This is a symbol of political freedom. This was the flag of a people who refused to go down without a fight! This flag (believe it or not) never stood for pro slavery it stood for a group of people who banned together and said come to my house, and my property and say it to my face This flag stood for a group of people who believed (like our founding fathers) government was getting to big and the people were losing their voice. This flag stood for a group of people who were willing to risk everything to keep big government out. This flag stood for a group of people who refused to have their rights infringed upon. Yet... here we are... living in a state who is banning this flag, but encourages people to show their pride with a rainbow flag? Do I see a double standard? Are the differences really that big? I dont think so. Dont both the rainbow flag and the rebel flag have a lot in common? *Dont infringements on my rights as a human. *government cant dictate how we live. *fighting against government to secure the lifestyle that makes them happy. *Banning together to fight. Im sure my position on this is slightly different. Those of you who know me understand where this is coming from lol.
