This is legit.. I would like to add a touch of humor and trivia with this add that even I did not know about Tonys original capo. But more importantly I believe in giving credit where credit is due and always overlooked it seems after something is up and rolling with someones name on it such as Tony Rice. The person responsible for this whole workable concept and the original idea to launch into actual production was Zane Fairchild. No one else ....so If someone starts claiming they were the one who gave Zane the idea or was advising him on details to add it is 100 percent false. You can tell them to peddle that mess elsewhere.. Zane came up with the idea of making 1951 of these with Tonys actual signature shrunk down and filed in with actual 14 kt. Gold. So these are the collectors items. Zane spoke with me about terms of the contract as well. Zane also refused compensation for his idea and countless hours of dedication via phone and email with Mr. Elliott and myself. All of it was kept secret between the 3 of us until Zane had it all worked out both for the production of it as well as the legalities to protect all parties involved. He is a dear friend and after I told Tony to expect a very important phone call from Zane..which he did accept. Tony walked back upstairs and opened my door. He looked at me and said Boy I will tell you one thing..that man is a genius. And he is from good stock, He sure did grow up to be a human being with higher than average integrity plus a giant heart and soul in him. I asked who are you talking about Zane?...He did his yes head face tilt. I then asked..so its a go. He said .Hell yes We are moving so fast thanks to Zanes leg work all we need now is your camera. Zane has Tom McKinneys spects he made my original by and he is on the way to the post office with it as we speak.. This is where the big surprise comes in. The capo arrived on time.. Tony put it on and tried it out. He said I really love it. There is a little something off with it for me. If he cant make the adjustment the same though I can. Then He gave me both holding the the cook book he uses as his writing table in the bedroom. It is Chief Wilma Mankillers cookbook. I photographed them beside each other from all angles to email Zane. On inspection of all the photos there is a width and slight shape difference. I asked him how it was possible that the new one was made exactly by the spects Tom McMickinny used to fit the thin neck of his Martin but they were slightly different.? He gave out this long laugh and said oh thats my fault..I wanted a snugger fit ..so I bent it till I got the fit for the Bone exactly like I wanted it. I asked if he had ever told anyone that and he answered ..Heck no!!! who on this planet would give a shyt if I bent my own capo the way I wanted it to fit my own guitar neck.? I had to text Zane and tell him Tony did a hack job on his capo and hopefully the amendment could be made via angles comparisons in the photos. The second capo came from Zane. Its was exact. WARNING:《THESE CAPOS ARE MADE WITH TOM MCKINNEYS DESIGN AND MEASUREMENTS. HOWEVER THEY ARE MODIFIED USING TONY RICES HAND BENDING WORK ALSO 》 ¿ GOT RICE? yes they do.
