This is long and may be my last comment on the subject (or not, you know me) but Ive noticed something that is both inspiring as well as proves a point. People leave this earth everyday. Every hour, every minute someone passes away. Often people dont understand why so many mourn for celebrities/people that they dont even know. They feel jaded over it. Within the week my news feed has mainly been FLOODED with eulogies and tributes from individuals and websites for two people. Jonathan Vela a.k.a Aquaman-San Antonios Amazing Adventures and of course Robin Williams. Two people, two different lives but one main correlation. They both made an incredibly positive impact. Everyone knew Robin from his movies and tv shows and star status but no one really knew him. Only what you may have read in the tabloids. And from that we heard of all the good he has done and all of his personal demons. But mostly people knew how he made them feel when they watched him. And that was flat out good. Even just a 10 minute laugh session does wonders for the soul. Jonathan. Throughout the cosplay community and now outside of it you may not have met or knew him but the word of his infectious smile and uplifting positive attitude and teachings have spread like crazy. Stories of his charity work and kind heart and testimonials from people who have had the pleasure of meeting him, even just for a moment. People went from never hearing of him to wishing they had met him. Now I know that this is just one newsfeed that Im basing this off of, mine. However it still makes me believe that the amount of mourning for people is not due to celebrity status or wealth. But the individuals desire live in such a way to make a positive impact. Again, everyday people and even celebrities pass away with little to no recognition but the absolute truth is while they still have their loved ones that will grieve for them, they didnt have that impact on a grand scale like others. Some strive for that grand scale and for some it just happens without them having that as a goal. And guess what, theres absolutely nothing wrong with that! No death is ever a no biggie or get over it or who cares but the fact is some lives actually have a further reach than others and thats why it hits harder. And just because one life has a longer reach doesnt make the others less important. It doesnt matter why the life has reached so far. Whether its from them telling a joke or singing or helping others while wearing a costume. All that matters is the positive grand scale impact! However we NEED those grand scale impacts. Why? Because grand scale impacts inspire others a grand scale as well. We need to be reminded on a grand scale that there are those that will go above and beyond for others because it helps make us do the same. We need to know on a grand scale that there are those that will live their lives publicly, flaws and all, so that we can see that you can still be a good person while having some bad personal times. And above all that, those impacts proves and does the most incredible thing. It proves that you can be immortal. Because while your physical self is no longer here, your desire, your heart, your positive attitude, your teachings, everything that is you and your spirit will forever live in the hearts of the people from that positive grand scale impact! This world needs them!
