This is me (Angela) on my first out of the country missions trip. - TopicsExpress

This is me (Angela) on my first out of the country missions trip. It was 1994 and I was 15 years old in Hong Kong. It was an experience to remember and it really did change me on the inside. I went on to give my life to full-time missions for 2 years after high school. Did you know that? I sometimes refer to this portion of my life as the forgotten years. Not because I have in any way forgotten, but because most of the friends I currently have relationship with in an ongoing way simply did not know me WAY back then. (I am getting old... ;) The last country I visited (apart from Canada) was Haiti, and that was back in 1998. My passport has long been expired and I found the ache in my heart growing more all the time these last 16 years. I have a bucket full of words about the nations being inside of me (us), and yet I have not set my foot on foreign soil in such a long time. I have prayed for nations, supported my many missionary friends however possible, believing that one day I would go again... and in the meantime, dying a little on the inside every time I helped send someone out, or gave money to feed a child I would never meet. When Destiny and I renewed our passports the other day, I came home and wept. Honestly, I am crying as I type this. I cannot even say I know exactly why, except I do know that I am living in the faithfulness of my Father who is keeping His promise to send me out. And not just myself, but with my daughter. She, being in fact, the reason I am going to Africa. I am excited to dip my hand into the bucket full of words about going to the nations I have been carrying around for years, and pull out Uganda. I would have never chosen Uganda, but I am happy to say yes. So, I just want to say thank you. Thank you to all who have supported Michael, myself and our family through the years. Thank you to all who have given financially into this trip, and thank you to those who will sow into us. Thank you for all who have prayed and will pray. I appreciate it all so much. Thank you for being a part of helping to bring my journey full circle and for sowing into our little girl who is Destined for great things. I will post a financial update in the next day for those who are interested....
