This is mostly true. I still believe in the artist, but I have always been romantic in my ideals. For any artists coming into their own, you must be prepared to suffer and adapt to the new paradigm. It can be both liberating in its versatility and damning in its compromise. As in most things all that you can do is (pause for eye rolls) follow your feet on the tight rope of 21 century artistry. Do what you must, but not more than you will, to make your vision a reality. Love and luck to you all.
