This is my cat Shadow who I rescued about 5 years ago from a passer-by on a busy highway that threw her out of the car window into a ditch of rocks as a kitten and after hearing her cries I finally found her, brought her home and made her a part of my family. Yesterday I went to work as usual traveling I 65 for about 40 miles sometimes at speeds as high as 75-80 (yes speeding). I pull into the Kosair parking garage, park my vehicle which is an SUV, got out locked it as usual and proceeded into the building and as Im walking around the back of my truck I hear a very loud meow and me being the person I am of course Im going to try to find out where its coming from as I have a keen sense of hearing when it comes to animals. As I continue to hear the meowing which sounded quite familiar I found that the loud cries of a cat were coming from beneath my SUV. I then began to crawl beneath my truck only to find that Shadow had hitched a ride from my home in Boston KY all the way to Louisville. She was perched above my spare tire under my truck Im sure holding on for dear life. Once again, I had the opportunity to save her. Im so thankful that she survived the incredible ride. I guess shes meant to be here.
