This is my delta printing producing a set of gears for itself. My extruder motor is underpowered, so getting a good print has been quite tricky. Instead of just buying a more powerful motor, I thought it would be a good challenge and learning exercise to attempt printing a geared extruder. Last night, I managed to strike a good balance between speed, temperature and infill density. So far, the gears are solid enough and mesh quite well! This geared extruder will be used to print a better, more robust geared extruder. Then, I shall print a fan shroud to keep my hot end properly cooled (and to eliminate the makeshift solder heat sink I have wrapped around it) :)
