This is my email to Mark Maldonado, I also send it to Legislative Delegations and the County Commissions November 25, 2013 Via E-mail and US mail APV 401 Walnut Street Poinciana, Fl 34759 Mr. Mark Maldonado Within the last three months First Service has released many projects that the community has voiced its opinion against. The majority of the directors are not putting the needs of the community first; instead they focus on the developer / First Service wishes and cast their vote accordingly to pass their projects. The project I’m concerned with now is the APV wants to fund the money to facelift the YMCA and build a swimming pool at the expense of the community. The residents time and time again have been against this plan. One of my observations now is the lease for YMCA will expire; let it expire; return this recreation building back to the community where it belongs. The Boys and Girls club can utilize this building for their use, and have this building open for the community’s use. The funds that were going to be used for the YMCA swimming pool should be allocated to Commissioner Arrington’s project for a new recreation center master plan Vance Harmon Park in village 1. He is looking for the funds to get the swimming pool done. The community will benefit and support these plans. I’m requesting an allotted time at the Board of Directors meeting on December 10, for the residents to provide their input before any voting takes place. The last board meeting was mostly vendor presentations and the directors approving them and the residents did not have an opportunity to voice their concerns. When is the community going to have their time to express their feelings? We the community have rights and the APV and developer are taking these rights away, and we can’t even vote for a director that we want, because the developer has the majority votes and cast his ballot to the candidate that will service their plan.
