Completing personal reflections relating to time management and personal priorities is a useful practice and should be repeated on a regular basis in order to determine if ones use of time is being optimized. Breaking down the goals into short and long term and setting a deadline for each helps each individual to stay on track and monitor progress along the way. While I know working with the Career Plan for this weeks assignment can be tricky, I hope you will revisit it often to update your goals. Your goals are clear, Norman, and based on the passion for your future career you have communicated, I know you will be successful. I am confused by your completion dates, as well as descriptions for each goal. Also, I am unable to see the 5th goal. While I hope you found the activity beneficial, it is my greater hope that the connections between class activities and content are becoming clear. Week 3 Analyzing Internet Sources 30.0 30.0 Comment: The two follow-up questions required for this assignment were to be answered in 100-150 words each. Careful thought and support were necessary in order to adequately respond to each. Always focus on supporting your answers with specific details from the material required. I would encourage the use of APA formatting with each submitted assignment. Communicating for Distance Education 80.0 65.0 Comment: The second assignment of Week Three consisted of three parts. In part 1, two messages, one casual and one formal (100-200 words each), were required. In part 2, it was necessary to coach Anthony on the use of inclusive language (in 100-200 words), and in part 3, the focus was on tone (in 150-200 words). Overall, the assignment was worth 80 points: 20 points for each part, plus 10 points for readability & style, as well as another 10 points for mechanics. When providing feedback to Anthony, there should have been a focus on using inclusive language in order to avoid offending female classmates and business associates (-10 points). Overall, your presentation is well done, and I would simply recommend reading your work aloud or having someone else read it to listen for errors in usage creating problems with readability.
