This is my history essay i just want to get thoughts and if you see any mistakes please tell me.Thank you for taking the time to read this if you can.. WE THE PEOPLE The Changing Pre-amble The Pre-amble has changed over time. We The People has included groups from the Native Americans to the chinese. From 1776 -1870 and up to modern society. Which is today we the people is still changing. In 1776 we the people was not changed, but they surely got something new! Abigail Adams wrote to the men in charge that they need to include the ladies. This young woman was John Adams wife, but he wouldnt listen to her rightful freedom suggestions. This act was not thought of until almost 130 years later on August 18, 1920 the 19th amendment granted American woman to vote, and have some what power of the house they rightfully owned or lived in. This amendment wouldnt have been if the suffragettes were not a thing and no protestors. So thank you! James Wilson and Roger Sherman determined how many representatives the states need or has to have. The Native Americans were thought of in many discussions. Can they vote one asked? So the men in charge said yes, but only if they live on American soil and only 3/5 would be counted in a vote. Its hard to say when the Native Americans were included in the constitution, because there are so many tribes. The last tribe that was included in the constitution was the Mohawk Native Americans in 2009. There may be hundreds of Native Americans still not included. But you can also see that the USA is more welcoming to the Native Americans. They are still changing laws for the Indians to have more rights! In 1837 John Greenleaf carved a wooden statue of a slave in chains. Slaves needed rights too! They were some of the first people to come to the Americas. And the way they were treated was not at all how they shouldve been treated! There were so many slaves in the south that the goverment had to do something with the voting. They worked harder than anyone else in all of the 13 states. 1/5 of the slaves were counted in a vote, but still were treated like crap. In 1870 the promise of the 15th amendent was not fully realized until 1965. Which is ridiculous! The African Americans still slaves 95 years more, because the goverment didnt realize it until 95 years later!! The goverment let this happen on purpose because heaven forbid the whites may have to get their hands dirty and do their OWN work. They waited this long so there could be riots and protestors. The USA wanted it to get out of control so they would have recognition from the world and so the news might have an exciting story to actually tell. It was all a game, the USA played which the goverment cant play a game. It isnt a game, it needs to be right and fair, and if it looks like a game the person in office needs to actually say something, instead of sitting there letting this happen!! They were forced to be here and then you made a amendment saying this land is to have freedom, well does that look like freedom Mr.President!! The only good thing about waiting 95 years is Martin Luther King jr wouldnt have been anything if in 1870 they had rights. In 1870 there was a federal census which counted each persons of that race. Individuals have been identified as white or African American since 1790 census, but only the white were included in we the people. Any other race was just counted and forgotten until we actually didnt have a jerk in office. In conclusion, as you could see if you werent white you might as well not exist. Until the late 1800s onto the 21st century races were recognized and rightfully included in we the people. The USA is still missing groups, but we are actually doing something about it and not playing a game with the law. The USA was not a pleasant place for anyone, but whites until the late 1900s because we might of got someone in office that had a brain. Let this be an essay not only on how the Pre-amble changed, but the way the USA treated different races before added to the constitution..
