This is my little piece and then Im done....Everyone is complaining about Keenesburg being in the news for yet another negative tid bit. In light of the situation and as a parent I too would be very fearful of such a threat in the School system. However, the news FAILED to emphasize the positive aspect. The problem was brought forth to administration and administration took it seriously instead of squashing the idea or sweeping it under the rug and ignoring it altogether. ALL children came home safely that night. No funerals were being scheduled for the upcoming week because your school administration has made it their top priority that students were kept safe and the building checked from top to bottom by administration and officers long into the night while students slept. Their safety and the safety of the faculty that educate your students is of great concern to those that took that threat seriously. Im thankful that God has placed such great people within your community to help Gods Angels provide that protection. Our thoughts and prayers should be towards the students that were apprehended. They have made a bad choice. My prayer is that their hearts and souls would be changed for the better because they were apprehended before following thru with their plans/ideas. I will be hugging my kids tonight extra hard because we live in communities that has administration that took a threat seriously; therefore, preventing the community from experiencing a far greater tragedy similar to far too many other school shootings in our country. Thanks Dad , and WCHS staff and faculty and Weld county sheriffs!!
