This is my official public post for all my friends and family. I am no longer a shamed or embarrassed of my past. I was a heroin addict for 2 years. Homeless, unemployed, and near death. I made a conscious decision to walk away from my friends and family. Including my children. It has been 11 months and 2 weeks that I have been clean and sober. I have never felt better in my whole life. I dont regret the decision I made to leave. I would rather be an absent misunderstood living father two states away than a dead junkie dad buried 2 blocks away. I am posting this to clear up any confusion. Not for pity or praise. I am simply a man only correcting my mistakes. I love and care for you all and will not be so absent in the very near future. Now. Back to work.... lol
