This is my own experience: Everybody who thinks that India is no. 1 in rape, Please see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_statistics. Dont look at total numbers, we are billionaire in populations, look at last column which shows numbers per 100000. Mauritius, Mexico, United states, Thailand, Poland, Russia, Finland, UK, Austria, Belgium, Germany .... all these country have many times more than in India. It is underreporting in India, but it cannot be 10 times under reporting. In India people through waste on street, and there are not many dust bin in street, those who decide not to through, they take waste to their home, and put in bin there. In Europe, there are many waste bin, still some people leave beer cans, fast food packings, cigarettes here and there, specially on weekend, its visible a lot. If you are traveling with laptop, there are more chances of it getting stolen in Amsterdam or Paris than in Delhi or Mumbai airports. In short, People are same world over, except for countries with No govt or civil wars. Need to study, why Rape in India get so much publicity than rape in other countries. We loose tourists, we loose foreign currency revenue, and this is one of the reason of rupees getting weak. The way Indian treat guests is special, we compromise our own schedule, privacy, comfort and entertain guest even if we cannot afford same things for ourselves. Please do this to all foreign tourists, make them feel so good that they want to come to India again and again, you are gaining a lot indirectly by doing so. We need to raise issue of poor infrastructure, like Roads, electricity, water, and education, which is worst in the world. We need to be constructive for our nation & economy, not destructive.
