This is my personal sentiment only, but I want to take a moment to say that today we saw that perhaps the French are actually more willing to die for their rights. Charlie Hebdo was often in poor taste, most assuredly, but freedom of expression isnt necessarily for things that are popular. I salute those at Charlie Hebdo for actually being willing to stand up for freedom of speech and I feel most of the western world should be ashamed. If not for such widespread cowardice and capitation, Charlie Hebdo would not have been in such an extreme minority that they could be so easily singled out. They died in part because so many others were easily frightened and willingly censored themselves.- Philip
