This is my soapbox: A biblical answer to all of the politics, - TopicsExpress

This is my soapbox: A biblical answer to all of the politics, war, nationalistic bigotry, disguised politically charged influence, ill researched statements, obviously bias everything, illogically closed ended questioning (amateur move in legal procedures), and unprofessional opinions from professional opinionaters. (ya, I made that word up) I Thessalonians 2:1-4;8 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a PEACEFUL AND QUIET life, GODLY AND DIGNIFIED IN EVERY WAY. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth... I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands WITHOUT ANGER AND QUARRELING; For more here is 1 Thessalonians 4:10-12 But we urge you, brothers, to do this and more, and to aspire to live QUIETLY, AND TO MIND YOUR OWN AFFAIRS, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one. Or maybe some Jesus... When did Christ ever criticize the government? Take a political stance openly? To His followers? That is what the significant difference was between Jesus and such Zionist movements as the Maccabean Revolt. He was a peacemaker publicly which is why so many discredited his Messianic message. He criticized their religion more than their government! We have too much access to freely expressing what should instead be deliberated, privately discussed, and even prayed over. (Yes, I am guilty of this too) There is a reason Christ finishes this quote about being salt with... Salt is good, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored?.. He who has ears to hear, let him HEAR. Luke 14:34-35 (not speak...) For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God. Luke 16:15. I pray that we strive to be like that... Like Christ in His humble and meek willingness to daily take up the will of God (the cross). To be like the apostles when they said to Christ Increase our faith!. (Luke 17:5) Faith, the substance of things hoped for (is hope loud?), the evidence of things unseen. (Hebrews 11)
