So if you make any significant noises IN REAL LIFE, the A.I. monsters in the game might hear you. Therefore, you find yourself urgently whispering back and forth in short sentences, when trying to come up with a strategy that wont get you killed by the nasties youre hiding from. My son freaked out on me (quietly!), because I sneezed in real life at a critical moment -- luckily, the A.I. creeps didnt hear me that time. Maybe this has been around for decades and I just missed it, but for such a simple bit of tech (i.e., a microphone listening to the room) its much cooler and more immersive than I thought it would be.
