I have received a $519 fine for parking in a disabled space that is only marked with a wheelchair picture which does not say permit only The bastard ranger who had parked illegally himself to issue the fine was condescending, arrogant and unsympathetic when my husband approached him to point out we have a wheelchair bound child as well as a baby in a pram. If Stockland management are going to allow these cowboy operators to revenue raise in their privately owned carparks at the expense of sick and injured children and families then they should be disgusted at themselves. If a permit is required to park then this should be clearly stated. Shellharbour City Council needs to reign in its over zealous employees or assign them to tasks that enhance the city instead of persecute sick kids and their families.
