This is one of my favorite graphics. I love Shawn in it and have one with Mom. In this one Shawn is taking a break from helping his brother build the flower bed that is behind Shawn. They had a good time doing that together. They loved doing a lot of things together. One thing they did for me was to build a hutch at one of my windows when I had had a hip replacement and couldnt take my dogs out. I thought it worked out just fine. My husband didnt appreciate it and type it down as soon as the boys moved out. Shawn never considered that he was disabled, in fact he often said he was more capable because he knew people who had all their limbs that could not do the things he could. He is sitting on the ground. One thing I have not mentioned is that he could go anywhere he wanted even if his wheelchair didnt fit. At first when we brought him home from the hospital, my husband and Matthew built a make do ramp into our back door. It was pretty steep because there was a tree at the foot of it. He scared me more than once by flying down the ramp stopping just short of the tree. He got great delight out of scaring me. If He was in a place where his chair didnt fit, he would come down on the floor and go on his knee and his hands. After we removed the ramp, he would just come up the steps and into the house and find a place to sit. He was very resourceful.
