This is one of the most interesting arguments for the existence of God through monistic idealism (the belief that consciousness is fundamental to reality-reality depends on observation) that Ive heard. I was introduced to the idea of October, and this was one of the arguments that convinced me (and rumor has it that Rossi was convinced by this kind of thinking as well...look up Bishop Berkleys God). A lot of this kind of thinking comes from Quantum Mechanics, and has convinced minds like Michio Kaku or Max Planck (the father of Quantum theory) of some sort of Cosmic Consciousness that holds the universe together. This version of the argument requires little to no understanding of quantum mechanics...but beautifully explains its implications (which is good for me because I have a very very very basic understanding of QM). To understand the argument, I just need to establish the Law of Identicals. Its really intuitive. What Leibnizs Law of Identicals says is this: If A = A, then whatever is true of A will be true of A, and therefore, whatever is possibly true of A will be possibly true of A. Suppose some proposition x is possibly true of A. Well, then its true of A that x is possibly true of A. If A = A, then x will entail on both sides of the equation, since whatever is true of A will be true of A. Simple enough.... So, if A = B (if they are identical i.e the same thing), whatever is true of A will be true of B, and therefore, whatever is possibly true of A will be possibly true of B. So here is the link to the argument: https://youtube/watch?v=4l1lQMCOguw Also, Id be glad to hear from anyone interested either in the comments of this status or here: ask.fm/SeanLuke
