This is one of the reasons I love the EF. regular hymns are fine, but whenever I hear chant at Mass, I can feel my soul physically lift itself in joy and reverence. I believe thats something I need, but more importantly its something he Church needs. Its something we all need. As reverently as the OF is, its still lacking. Thats one of the reasons Im glad that parishes like St. Agnes are around. With the OF they put their best slipper forward. And yet, in many ways, even then it still lacks. Doesnt make it bad, just sad sometimes.
