This is one of the saddest days ever (and I have dealt with some tough ones). This morning at 9:40 a.m., my darling Graylin died in my arms. He was just 1 year & 8 days old, and he fought bravely against the feline leukemia that filled his lungs with fluid. 2 days ago he was proudly patrolling his garden and playing with his favorite toys, then he went rapidly downhill. The vet told me to increase his medication, but that there was nothing he could do to save him. I sat with him in the early morning watching him struggle to breathe, then made the decision to take back to the vet to be euthanized.I had just placed him in his carrier when he died. Poor little guy! Nothing more I can do for him but dig & grave & pray that he & his brother are together again. They were so young & full of joy. Graylin, Sylver, I hope your pains are gone & you are together in a better place. I will always love you, my sweet kittens.
