This is one of the saddest thing I have read. It was completely honorable to have the compassion to save any and as many animals as one can. But only when you know your limits and have a list of possible resources. I recently went from two to three dogs and it is overwhelming. I think anyone taking in 30 dogs without a team of support is feeding another need, possibly an addictive need inspired by compassion. Its truly tragic that she ended her life and suicide always leaves unexpected victims. I cant imagine how hopeless she felt to be able to sit among 30 rescue animals and die with them...as frustrated as I am my prayers go out to her friends and family.
