This is our story......a friend suggested I post this on the National CASA site. Most of my family and close friends know that I was a CASA (Court appointed special advocate) a few years ago. The young lady I was matched with is now our daughter. Pete ( my wonderful husband) and I went to a beautiful event today at the Madonna Inn as she was a speaker and we wanted to support her and CASA. We know Ambers story..... With that being said, we were in tears along with everyone else at the event listening to our daughters story and felt like we were hearing it for the first time.......she has been our daughter for so long, and has come so far, the past is something we tend to forget and how this story began.......... Please take a moment to listen to Ambers story. And, if you can, please support this wonderful organization. In San Luis County alone, we have 420 foster children that need a CASA and only have 142 ( might be a little off on this) CASA volunteers To our family and friends, thank you for accepting, supporting and making Amber part of our family..
