This is part of Stonewall week festivities here in the Tulsa LGBT Community. Learning the history and the reasons why we fight for equal rights and why we demonstrate our Pride in June is a reminder of where we came from and what weve been through. Those of us that are old enough to remember a time that we were teased in school or ridiculed by members of our family for being different or being called names because we were gay, finally decided enough is enough and we needed to take a stand and get involved. Learning the history shows that generations before our time had it even worse. I know a lot of the younger generation doesnt understand when they hear us utter the word discrimination, because times are changing. Be thankful for that, but I urge you to learn your history and to get involved, because we still have a long way to go. #noh8
